| Large
sized pictures, or high resolution pictures
(over 100 pixels per inch), will take a long time to load over a slow
Internet connection (e.g. 28k line). Many people do not have a fast
connection like DSL. If a picture takes long to download, many people lose
patience or think the page is not working, so they go away. To avoid
this problem, we suggest you size your photos to not larger that 250 pixels by
250 pixels, at a resolution of 72 dpi (pixels per inch).
To resize the pictures that you took with your Digital Camera or Scanner, you will need to use
the 'Image Editing' program that came with your camera or scanner.
If you don't have a program that can 'Resize' images, try: Freeware program, EyesBrowse 2.6,
which will resize but not change the resolution. Download this program,
LView Pro2006. It sells for $39.00, but it is an awesome Photo
Editor, and you can download a trial version for free to see if you like
it. (Recommended)
